This is a raspberry-coloured satin crepe. It's not just any fabric — it's the kind that shines, but only just enough, with a matte finish on top; what makes the shade different is that it changes depending on the light. We sourced it in Italy, where they let us buy it in small quantities, just enough for this production run. The way it drapes and how little it wrinkles make it perfect for your next wedding.

We know how hard it is to tell how a garment will fit before you have it in your hands, so for this skirt we recommend getting your usual skirt or trouser size — check your hip measurement to decide the size, though depending on the size, it'll sit more at the waist if you go one size down, or lower on the hips if you go one size up; it's a pattern that works either way. It's an asymmetric skirt with a fixed knot at the front.

At Luau we aim for the best finishes, because we make garments that last when cared for properly. This skirt is made with a lot of love in Ana's workshop, just 7km from our store in Barcelona, and produced in limited quantities — even when a style becomes a bestseller, we don't keep making it over and over, because we want whoever owns a Luau to feel special and confident she won't run into anyone else wearing the same look at her next wedding.

The great thing about a set is that, although we suggest wearing it together for your upcoming event, afterwards you can wear each piece separately in everyday life. Pair it day-to-day with a flowy white shirt, or even your favourite white t-shirt. For the complete set, we recommend black, gold or nude shoes. Statement earrings, no necklace. Think about whether you'll need the shawl we suggest, in case the wedding is in a church or in the afternoon. Remember you can create two very different looks for the ceremony and the party by wearing the shawl around your neck or leaving it off.
